My file names are like this, 06-01-05_09-01-00.jpeg, which "file" says
are "JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01" and i am using MEncoder
version "dev-CVS-051220-04:08-4.0.1 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team" (its
the default Mandriva PLF version).

I am not sure if the jpegs are progressive encoded or not, I am
guessing they are not. I am using the "webcam" program from the xawtv
author to take the pics.
