[sheflug] how to access a server via VPN
Dear All
I need to administer a server in a school. Access into the school is
restricted to a VPN and a reverse proxy, both provided by BT via the CLC
(ie a larger group of schools). The reverse proxy only forwards requests
on port 80, and I've no experience of a VPN. Normally I'd do things on
the command line via SSH, but these are blocked when I try to access it.
Apart from 1 linux box (running mooldle and the website) the rest of the
network is windows.
Can anyone suggest how best to administer the server? I'll need to do
things like edit config files, restart servers, perhaps (occassionally)
install new software, check backups are working, ping it maybe. One
thought - can webmin be run on the same port as apache as a virtual
host?
thanks
David Willington
