Have you tried Streamripper? It is in the Debian and Ubuntu archives
(I'm not too familiar with other distros) and I use it to download Real
files from the BBC. For instance, to watch the latest episode of Click I
would get the high quality Realplayer file from bbcworld.com/click
(which is actually just a text file with the stream location in it) then
run the command:

streamripper $(cat worl_click_011107_show_hi.rm)

That downloads the file to " - .mp3" in a folder Streamripper_rips (I
think), although it is in Real format, not MP3.

This should work for audio too, as long as the given file is a text
location of the stream.

If not then sorry for wasting your time :P
