Hello,

I've inherited an old Epson scanner (USB, so perhaps not too old). So far 
I've got kooka* to recognise it and scan in either colour or monochrome, 
but when it comes to printing the image I have to leave it overnight - well 
over eight hours to print a jpeg!

What's the secret of transferring a scanned image to a printer? This is 
Gentoo Linux running on a decent platform, so it isn't a performance 
problem, if you see what I mean.

* Where do they get these ridiculous names from? Took me ages to find it. 
Oh, never mind.
