That's one of the reasons why I don't like them myself :)  Seen a lot 
of broken Thinkpads (which are expensive).  Other than EeePC my own 
favourites are any laptop from Comet (over the counter service) or an 
Advent laptop from Ebay (search on Ebay for that).

But, EeePC seems to cover all the bases for my own use :)
