Re: [Sheflug] Putty alternatives/ Running Foxplus/Foxbase on Linux (Think I need another cup of coffee!)

Thanks Tim & Robin,

Got Konsole working straight away. Couple of questions though:

Can I configure it to start-up from a short cut with the correct font &
font size? (20 is about the right size)

Can I configure it to auto-run "telnet 192.168.1.209" from the short cut?

Can't find any references on the web for running Unix foxplus on Linux,
but it is a very old program. Would use harbour/xharbour but they are
not 100% dbase compatible (its 32 bit clipper and a huge job to alter
existing proggys )and their database indexing system is also not
compatible. I was only trying to set up a copy of my working system on
my laptop so I can write/alter programs off the live system and take it
home

Everything else I need I can run in vnc on the windows server (Which is
only MSOffice if needed and Pegasus Opera II accounting package.)

Wubi was painless and I now have kubuntu running as my main system and
XP as my secondary boot. If you need a dual boot system that is safe
and easy to install I can recommend wubi.

wubi-installer.org/

regards

Steve

I think I am having one of those senior moments!!!
