[Sheflug] File permissions fun

Just wondering if anyone could help with a bit of a file-permissions
query that's confusing me at the moment?

I want to set up a folder (for photos) that my wife and I both have
full read-write access to, where we can both create, edit and delete
files (including ones created by each other).

I have got as far as to put us both into a group called 'photoshare'.
I have set the group for the folder to 'photoshare' and set the 'set
group id' attribute (chmod g+s <foldername>).

This means that all the files created in that folder inherit the
'photoshare' group.

However, the group permissions on these files still default to
read-only. Is there any way to set the group permissions *for just
this folder* to default to +rw? I understand you can use the 'umask'
option to set the default permissions for all files, but not sure if
it is possible for a single folder.

Any suggestions?
