Although, to be fair, this only affects the older models, not the ones
that would have arrived new on Christmas day (and they have promised
that they'll all start working again tomorrow, if you run the battery
flat, then recharge it fully... as long as you remember to touch your
right ear with your left thumb, whilst doing so, and swear a pledge of
allegiance to the great Bill).
