I agree with Peter, the failing of the md5 check doesn't mean the DVD won't
run. One of the first stages of the OpenSuSe install is the opportunity to
check the integrity of the DVD (takes a while and I don't often bother
unless there is a problem later on and I have to start over). The md5 does
provide an assurance that the iso image hasn't been compromised, but as long
as you are content that it is 'pukkah' and the download wasn't redirected
from somewhere nasty there shouldn't normally be a problem.
I'm using 11.1 and KDE 4.2 unstable (plus the Nvidia Beta graphic drivers)
and I recommend considering 4.2 when it comes out in a few weeks, in the few
weeks between OpenSuSe 11.1 it has come along in leaps and bounds.
