Re: [Sheflug] Opera Browser
Dear all,
coincidentally, I've been playing with Opera recently, and discovered its noticably superior
performance (in javascript flash and general html), when compared to Firefox.
What I'm less enthused by is the difference in address bar auto-suggest behaviour (is there a proper
term for it?). In Firefox, when I start typing e.g. webmail.shef.ac.uk, I am greeted with the url
I use most often: that one! Whereas in Opera, I'm given as the most likely suggestion, the very
last URL I visited involving that phrase, e.g. the url to delete the third message in my inbox.
Does anyone know if there's some feature in Opera to provide Firefox 2's more useful behaviour?
(I'm not yet sold on Firefox 3's all singing, all dancing address bar - perhaps it just needs a bit
more patient training?)
Andy
