[Sheflug] Which one to pick

I have a choice of two motherboards/processor combinations to choose from.
>From the two listed below, for a home use enviroment, could anyone advise
which would be the better for that use. I will be running ubuntu or xubuntu.

1. Two processors, Pentium 111 850's, 4 memory slots populated with 3x256meg
pc100 and 1x128meg pc100
(could take pc133 from the other motherboard but I would assume it would still
run as pc100 when I top up the other slots with pc100 )

2. Single Athlon 1300, 2 memory slots with 2x128meg pc133.
(or I could use 2 sticks of 256meg pc100 from the other motherboard)

I'm inclined to think that No.1 would be the more efficient, although the
processors are slower, there are two of them and then there is nearly double
the memory.

I only have the one computer case, so I can't test them side by side.

Any expert or experience advice would be welcome.

Thanks

Peter C.
