Yes. I was the bloke who went to Fosdem many years ago and suggested 
that we needed a Linux based communications package which would be 
sophisticated and reliable.  Which eventually became Asterisk...

Yeh.. you have to realise how the world of open source and free 
software works.  There will been many projects out there that can do 
similar things. Same with winduhs software.  Anti-trust law makes it 
clear that there shall be competition.

Microsoft took off.  Not that anyone who knows anything about legal 
affairs and international affairs will see that as desirable.  Many U.S. 
based and other commentators from around the world are now saying that 
"Whatever Microsoft does to get itself out of it's present problems it 
will now sink further into the quagmire that it has created for 
itself".
