Hopefully everyone had a good Christmas.

The other part of it is about OpenOffice.org (loud yawns from audience).

http://www.openoffice.org/

" On October 28th. 2009, the one hundred millionth person clicked on the
Download OpenOffice.org button since version 3.0 of the software was announced
just over one year ago. "

That's what I call competition :) I remember being heckled on several LUG
lists some years ago in several countries for suggesting that there was a
worthwhile alternative to MS Orifice. Not so now. I've been using
OpenOffice.org for ten years now on an SuSE/Debian and more recently an Ubuntu
desktop. A lot of that was published in magazines. No one ever had a problem
reading or publishing anything that I sent to them.
