[Sheflug] Paul Allen Sues Tech Giants over 'Patent Violations'

Hello there

Whilst I was away in Manchester this afternoon in the Madlab for the
Ubuntu U3 session an outbreak of the Microsoft version of SCO seems to
have been let loose....

Not forgetting of course that Microsoft publicly claim that they "Love
Linux". Which means they would love to close it down. At least,
that's what the open source community believe. A Groklaw reference to
this....

apple-ebay-facebook-google-etc.html

and.... something from the Washington Post.......

So, please do have a good read if you are interested. I would imagine
that the fast moving internet which is largely based on non-Microsoft
technologies and which can change at will in a short time due to the
fact that it's largely based on open source technologies would easily
find a way around any case that might or might not be proven in court.
