I'm not a python programmer but I know that python isn't too difficult 
to learn.  I'd like to learn more about it myself.  I do have a few 
python books but these aren't as good as sitting next to someone else 
who can give you a few clues.  I have an earlier version of Learning 
Python by Mark Lutz and David Ascher.  ISBN 1-56592-464-9...

As a bit of a side note.  Have you seen Monodevelop ?  Very useful 
tool that allows you to use any language to programme in any 
language...
