[Sheflug] Meeting and Short Film

Hi

Thanks to everyone who came along today. We think the next one is on 
the 1st of June. Watch this space and Twitter for updates on the 
meeting.

Some of you might think that GNU/Linux is only server software.  The 
GNU/Linux desktop became mainstream a long time ago.  That's a fact.  
We've come a long way from the old days of laughing when someone 
mentions desktop Linux.  With this in mind I thought I might ask the 
well known question.. what else can you do with Linux ?  The answer is 
just about anything.  I've been making short films again....

Most TV Companies and all of Hollywood use Linux for short and long 
film production.  Not a single Hollywood movie can be produced without 
the use of GNU/Linux.  Hopefully I can extend my own editing skills to 
20 minute short films eventually.
