to join our busy Linux helpdesk in Huddersfield town centre. We have a 
range of positions and we are growing rapidly. Salary depends on

Job description:  Technical Support staff required for a busy Linux 
helpdesk in Huddersfield centre.

Daily duties will include dealing with support requests by email and 
over the phone and working remotely to resolve Linux server and 
Asterisk problems. In addition you will be required to look after our 
Nagios monitoring system and OSSEC alerts system.

Person requirements:  Applicants ideally will have customer service 
experience. An excellent telephone manor and clear communication 
skills are essential.

Knowledge of Linux servers is required, specifically RedHat, Debian and 
derivatives. Previous use of SSH for server administration along with 
a strong grasp of TCP/IP networking is essential.  Beneficial skills 
include Asterisk, Nagios, postfix, OSSEC and iptables. 
Knowledge of a scripting language would also be useful e.g. perl, 
python, bash.
