[Sheflug] Printing

Hi,

I've got a printing problem that i don't seem to be able to sort out. I've
just hooked a printer up to a linux box which hasn't had one on before and
tried to do some test prints - and got no output. The box is running RH6.2.
When I look at the print spooler window I see the files there but, in the
'error' window is a message saying 'there is no daemon present'.  If I
reboot the system I see a message as it starts up saying 'starting lpd - OK'
and I can see this file in /var/spooler.  I've tried restarting lpd from the
console and from the printertool but it makes no difference.  Can anyone
help please?
