I've no experience with 6.2, but in 6.1 there was a module alias missing
from /etc/conf.modules (or /etc/modules.conf) that gave me a similar
error,

Look for the line:

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc

and if it isnt there add it, restart lpd and try.
