XF4.01 seems to be starting up the fbdev driver under S3 Virge (generic) mode.
Will be swapping that card for a "better" one in due course..

BTW, KDE2.1 Beta 2 is now out and RPMS are also available (80MByte download - 
2.1b1 was "only" 60Mbytes)
