Sticky GUI

Hello

Anyone know what to do with sticky GUIs ?

When I start Netscape it sticks in the maximise position and won't
minimise. If I run fetchmailconf from a terminal window the
fetchmail GUI pops up and sticks in the maximise position, the bottom
of the GUI is off the screen. This means that I can't click on the
buttons at the bottom of the screen to save the settings and
configure fetchmail.

I suppose if I knew which part to edit I could open up Emacs and
just chop around in the appropriate file ?
