Kernel patching
Hello all, this is the first time I've posted to this list, I hope I'm
doing it right.
I've been using Slackware 3.1 for a few years, and managed to patch the
kernel up to 2.0.35 (IIRC) with no problems. After recently installing
Redhat 6.0 I'm having a few problems. Firstly, I'm not actually sure which
kernel I have, it appears to be 2.2.5-22, but I've no idea what the
-22 bit means. I tried installing the 2.2.6 patch but the patch utility
complained that all the hunks had already been applied. Any help
gratefully received. (uname -r says 2.2.5-22, the login screen claims to
be Red Hat Linux release 6.0 (Hedwig)).
Apart from the patching difficulties RH6 seems pretty good, things
certainly have moved on since Slack3.1 !
