Re: Kernel patching
This is a pre-patched kernel. because the different vendors pre-patch to
different levels on their cds I use a pristine source (i.e.. a vanilla
kernel) and patch using the patches at ftp.kernel.org or a mirror. To patch
your existing kernel ypu'd have to back out the existing patches, but it's
probably quicker to source a pristine 2.2 kernel from a PC Plus mag CD or
download (13Mb !) then apply the patches in sequence. eg. if you download
2.2.10, then 2.2.11, 12, 13 must be applied in that order to get you to
2.2.13.
