alt + / - only works if you've set more than one mode - have you done
this? Xconfigurator doesn't have the final say, you can change it's mind
for it! There's no reason why you can't have 1024x768x24, since that is a
2.3Mb screen mode (I think?). Does Xconfigurator know how much RAM you
have? The alternative is to use XF86Setup (a text tool), and force it into
the mode. If your card doesn't support it, it won't work and you'll have
an odd display on your screen. You may even have to ctrl-alt-backsp to
kill the server.

It's unsupported, and w/o StarOffice I believe. Anyway, it'll be worth it
just for reiserjfs if that's still going on ;) New toy, etc., etc., ...
