Hmmm, I notice you have an Edinburgh phone number, if you're a student
up here, you can get a uni dial-up account (you probably can even if you
aren't), and now telewest is all over Edinburgh, get it installed and
look forward to free internet (including phone calls) every evening and
all weekend!!!!! (You get free telewest-to-telewest local calls in the
evening and at weekends and the uni dial-up is on a telewest phone
number...)

P.S. I've just read your second mail, and as you have the USR modem
you'll be using the X2 56K technology, some ISPs have different phone
numbers for X2 and K56Flex?
