Au contraire. Those are presumably inode numbers of mmap'ed files
(that's what the `m' stands for), quite likely shared libraries. Find
out which ones they are, move 'em to /lib where they belong (/lib _is_
on the root partition, isn't it?), and presto, no probs. Or maybe
there's a lib (probably obsolete) in /usr/lib shadowing a lib with the
same name in /lib.
Alternatively, arrange that the program using them gets shut down
_before_ the global umount. So yep, it could be upgrading the initrc
stuff (and the order got hosed). That or some daemon from /sbin got
new functionality from /usr/lib or its guts got moved to an .so there.
Ah, I love Zork^H^H^H^HUnix!
Betcha a beer next time I'm in Sheffield (or you can come to Tsukuba
to collect :D) that's what it is.
Oh, by the way, I got bit by stuff that should have been on the root
partition but _I_ had moved off it a couple days ago, that's why I
asked. ;-)
