It should be vt102, which is close enough to vt100 to work most of the time.
It supports colour and is fast small and efficient, I've used it for several
years.

This sounds like you need to go in to the config and turn on linewrap (^A
O..the rest should be obvious). OR.. your screen size (mentioned in another
email) try:
stty rows 24 (local)
export TERM vt100 (at the remote end)
reset
Or make your xterm 25 lines large before starting minicom (it's normally used
in the console by people I think).
I need this myself when connecting to a sun from my home Linux box from the
console (have to login and fix faults asap, no time for X ;)

It's usually possible to remap functions keys, you could look at xmodmap and
do some websearches for this area, I took a short look at seyon and thought
erg :(

wine can run terminal.exe, (has done for about 4.5 years) but that is rubbish
:) If you know of a terminal emulator that you like in Windows you can try
wine on it. I found to my utter amazement that wine was able to startup IE5
and then when I went to news.bbc.co.uk even the java worked!!!
