Well, they do *seem* to have the world bang to rights when it comes to
dot-comming things! Interesting, though, to see that they include Java in
this dotcomdevmod thing of theirs. Source code to Java? Even under the
SCSL, seems unlikely, but who knows.. I wish they would submit it for
standardisation though. There's so much cool stuff coming out for Java
(Quicktime for Java, Real-time Java, etc.) it seems a shame to be locked
into the dotcom way of doing things..

To me, it seems similar to running SO over a remote X link. (shudders).
Brrr. No thanks. I don't understand this fascination with running things
over browsers: the interface of the web is really, really, horrible. The
only thing you gain is not having to install the software, which for some
users is a huge bonus, but I'm sure it's not beyond the wit of man to
design a system to do this without having to dot-com it :)
