A SIMPLE linux server is easier and quicker to set up than NT. Of course, 
an all-singing, all-dancing do  everything box takes a little longer. But 
think how much longer it takes on NT - all those extra shrinkwrap boxes to 
open ; )

SuSE 6.3 with networking, sendmail, fetchmail, procmail would take about an 
hour & a half to set up. Another 30 mins to set up the users, configure 
ppp, set up wwwoffle (proxy) & point the clients at it, job's a good 'un.

Like all things, experience counts for a lot. I wouldn't expect a newbie to 
set up a server, anybody who did is being unreasonable.

If the cases are going for free I would like to build a linux demo machine 
in one :)
