As far as I can tell, the 5/6 machines that he is on about probably 
won't be implemented in the next month, it will probably grow, I 
know that I have to set up a financial machine very quickly, so 
make it stand alone, or make it a machine that connects through 
the serial port  for some thing makeshift then in about 3 months 
when the large wads of money start flooding into the IT department 
(me) :-)  then I will be able to get the network systems all set up. 
At the moment he wants the analysis and other bits and bobs that 
make up the report. NT Server I have crossed out as a viable cost 
effective solution (heh heh heh).

And why not. Hey I am still a student, this is only part time work (I 
got lucky) This summer I am on full time - system setup here I 
come!

Now the next thing on my shopping list are books on Samba
