If you have access to a printer, you can do yourself no harm by
downloading the endless tutorials on samba available from the internet.
I set up a printer server here using that resource, and so far no need
to shell any money out.

One word of warning: if you're going to use Linux for a critical
networking application, make sure you get the right network card. I'm
saying this because I have to suffer the joys of a RealTek 8139 based
card, which is a development driver. Go for something that's properly
supported, as it will save you endless problems :)

	Best luck!
	It's fun!
