I knew Open Source was the wrong phrase to use there :) I mean things
like freeciv and Linux and other things where the majority of the people
do the work in their spare time.

Couldn't agree more :)   I always find it amusing when people argue
between different programming languages.  Eg, Java Vs Haskell; it's
worse that apples and pears, it's apples and wellington boots.
