I'm faced with a situation where I organise a meeting for our user
group and the best place to go is Blackwell's. Everyone likes it and
I like it as well.

I have been very close to Blackwell's management team for ten years or
more. Both Blackwell's and Waterstones are really only the same
company.

I know that it's true that they are very reliable and very helpful.
However, they are known to shift the goal posts sometimes and it's a
good idea to *make absolutely sure* that we are not doing something
that will invite them to show interest in our activities.

I could rant on about retail law and related industrial law but as I'm
sure some of us are aware there's not much point in going into 500
pages of stuff without good reason for it ?

Thanks
