I've noticed this quite a bit with Linux. It's almost like black
magic. Some monitors and graphics cards work fine with a certain
distro. Then again you can come along to another machine with the
same hardware and find that it won't work with REd HAt or SuSE or
Mandrake. I know from my own experiences that some hardware can be a
bit buggy and won't support a RH or SuSE X-server.
