Heh.. yeah, I used say pretty much exactely the same thing until I did
'rm /etc/*' instead of 'rm /etc/*~'  Worry ye not, you'll learn :)

I now have /home/node and /home/tek, both for different uses.  /root has
about 1/2 Kb in it.
