Zip Drives & all that malarkey

Zip drive sorted now ;)) Still no idea what the actual genuine problem was,
but it was solved by re-installing part of my distro' (I was using SuSE 6.3,
evaluation beta, which should have made me a bit suspicious automatically,
quite why I put that on what I have a perfectly good non-beta copy is beyond
me even now ;).

As for Mr. Bremner's problem - dunno ;)) What kernel are you using? Which
distro? And what command did you use to format the drive?

Cheers,

Alex.

BTW - new problem: bit of screen corruption when I minimise windows in KDE
1.1 (!!). If I didn't know better, I'd say it was a hardware fault, because
it looks exactly like the garbage you get when the VRAM is about to die, but
the gfx card is fine.. going to do some rigorous testing tomorrow, find out
the cause, I only mention it 'cos it's currently in my 'well wierd' box!!
Just on minimisation.. I have a feeling it might be a dodgy X-server, but as
I say, testing will soon show the culprit I dare say..

P.S. I'm currently (shudder) using LookOut! express on a Windows system.
Please, please, please shout if I start posting HTML or business attachments
or any other such crap, I haven't the first clue how these damn things work.
Although, you have to laugh, I've already received two virii/worms - the
first, the well -known Happy99.exe. The second, some miscellaneous
vbscript/active-X thing, unidentified so far. Looks like a goodie though -
check out part of the code:

d=new Date();
if(d.getDate()==1 && d.getHours()>17){
    alert('Kagou-Anti-Kro$oft says not today !');
    wsh.Run(wd+'RUNDLL32.EXE user.exe,exitwindows');
}

I love it!! Non of this sudo-crap, just straight to the beef - bang, you're
out of there, sonny!! And this:

wsh.Run(wd+'Regedit.exe -s '+wd+'kak.reg');

As they say in the wrestling, "That's *gotta* hurt!". Even *I* know regedit
ain't a good sign. Can anyone identify this one for me??
