I`m currently running RH6.1, with kernel 2.2.14-5.0 (RH patched
version). I`ve also run 2.2.14 and 2.2.12-20, and had the same problems.
As far as formatting the drive: pretty much as the HOW-TO suggests -
fdisk /dev/sda, primary partition on sda1 for ext2, mke2fs (no options)
/dev/sda1.
I`ve just reinstalled Windoze ( 12 reboots this time, and problems with
IRQs) onto my Dell, since the new HD came in the post today; so I`ve
been playing with the Iomega tools, tested and reformatted drive and
disks.
We`ll see how it goes in the morns morn.
Baz.
