The autoloader uses modprobe and all that stuff in userland,
IIRC. And you can pass arguments at boot time. In your case, it's
probably easier to do it in /etc/conf.modules.

Checked last night, and Mandrake comes with sndconfig, the tool
that puts other OSs to shame :)
