well every thing is cookin on gas over here at mo.
Finaly got to compile kernel downloaded source installed it and hey presto
make xconfig -config-menuconfig all now work.
Yes i'm now happy and it seems to go faster than standed SuSE kernel dont
think standed kernel is pent pro optimised nice one.
Well going to sleep now ,and thank's for everyone's help even in hindsight
