Yes :-)  Looked in /etc/fstab and this is what I can see for CD-ROM...

/dev/cdrom   /cdrom   auto  noauto,user 0 0

I can't se anything wrong with that :-)  Must be the symlink to the
cd-rom from /opt/kde/bin/kscd ??

Only thing I can see that could be wrong ?  Where do I find the symlink
? (ok - so I'm being idle ? )
