RE: well here goes!!



Don't worry about the mbr being zapped - this is very easy to undo. The 
easiest way is by booting linux and running Yast. Select System 
Administration, Boot configuration, Configure Lilo.

Delete the existing config unless you want linux to be the default boot.

make a new configuration after accepting the defaults (install to mbr, 10 
sec etc.)
Make Dos the system to boot, accept defaults for the rest. Then make 
another config, this time making Linux the system to boot, accepting the 
other defaults. OK this & exit, Lilo should now be configured to boot 
Dos/Windows first, leaving you to type "linux" within 10 secs of the boot: 
prompt appearing.

Admittedly it's not as easy as the RH method, unfortunately that's the 
price you pay for graphical installers which try to make life easy. If you 
install again select the text mode installation & see how much more control 
you have over the process.
