Check the mail's in /var/spool/mqueue first.  If there's a huge number of
files there, then that's it.  If not, try again.

You shouldn't need to do that, though - local mail should be configured to
drop straight in.  Only remote mail should queue for the explicit empty.

If not, it needs a date with the Mail-Queue mini-HOWTO.
