 Mmmm. (Fairly well) shielded PC speakers next to the monitor, although
they`ve been there for a year and a half without much bother.

 I have moved the box itself onto the desk next to my monitor (about 6"
away)...it`s got a couple of nice 7200rpm drives...

 How does that sound?
