No, just sensible folk. I only managed to afford an upgrade from my 800x600
max monitor 3 months ago, and thats with 100% financial help from my dad.

I really don't think it's unreasonable for people to want to be able to see
a web site which is supposedly aimed at them.

One of Linux' main selling points is that it will run on older hardware. If
this has to be hooked up to a new monitor, and possibly video hardware, just
to browse the Web, what is the point.

I have a  486 DX2/66 SuSE machine at home. The monitor maxes out at
800x600@56Hz, and the VGA card won't go higher that 800x600 256 colours. I'd
have no chance!

People are not amateurs. They just want to be able to see what appears on
their screens!
