Scaling is not part of the problem in my book ;) I write pages that will
be viewable on any system; scaling is mandatory. As I said, you lose
control over where stuff goes, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the
page looks bad. Setting a maximum width means that you start getting large
white space on decent monitors, which can make things unreadable.
