Yes, I know about this too. I personally browse (at home) using my mobile
- that's 9'600 baud. I don't have graphics turned on for obvious reasons
;) But to be honest, I usually look at the address on the link, it's
usually more informative. But I would definitely like the alt= tags filled
in. But as I said to Richard, it's more a question of development. I think
the new pages look miles better than the old ones. Yep, there are
problems. But in a way, that's what free software is all about - you find
problems, you improve on what you had before. Eventually you end up with
something Pretty Damn Good ;)

You know, one thing that has always surprised me is the lack of decent web
authoring tools under linux. I don't know of one. People mention Bluefish,
et al, but they're not management tools - people wouldn't undertake a
website in them lightly, especially if they needed to keep it up to date.
Can anyone suggest something reasonably good? (And I don't just mean text
editors that - wow - colour in tags ;)

I think that the improvement from the last site to this means that people
expect a similar improvement in the future ;) Did anyone see that Dilbert
cartoon in one of the PC mags a while ago? Pointy-haired boss: "Gentlemen,
our division is unusually profitable this quarter. This means that our
targets for next quarter will be impossibly high. That means we're going
to have to sabotage our profits for the rest of the quarter...."

Cheers,

Alex.
