[Sheflug] TAP modules?

hi all,

i recently installed diald and it's now working fine except for one thing.

when i reboot the pc, several messages about modprobe errors as follows

modprobe can't locate module TAP1
modprobe can't locate module TAP2
modprobe can't locate module TAP3
      "           "       "        "        "
modprobe can't locate module TAP15

i also see in the x console (when i'm logged on in KDE) can't locate module
char-major-108.

everything seems to run ok. this has only happened since the installation of
diald and although diald may not be directly responsible, i may have
inadvertantly modified something else.

anyone got any idea's?
