Note the _you_; _I_ do the linking myself, the glue file is in GNU
Ghostscript distributions and works fine with Aladdin Ghostscript so
far.  I have my cake and compleat it, too.  This is entirely
permissible under the GPL, of course.  :-)

Of course, I do not distribute binaries or sources.  So don't ask.
That's the :-(

I think the strict interpretation (no dynamic linking to GPL
functions) of the GPL has outlived its usefulness.  As does Linus:
according to rms, proprietary drivers (the commercial version of OSS
sound, for example, which lots of people on this list swear by---seems
to be one of the most popular features of SuSE) for Linux would be
excluded by the GPL, but Linus has made it plain that he doesn't
interpret the GPL that way.

BTW, GNU Ghostscript is not an option for me; I'm a beta tester for
Aladdin.
