I think good.  Not sure though.  Ask a native.

No it doesn't.  It just tries to remake a thousand or so symlinks, and the
/dev/mouse one is one it doesn't do too well on.

To fix: edit /etc/X11/XF86Config and change the mouse line to your real
pointing device.
