[Sheflug] More on the mail handling thread

To carry the recent mail handling thread(s) further, can anyone help me
find a way round this little problem?
Currently, our (Windoze based) proxy server will only sort incoming mail
based on the contents of the To: header. This means that anything Cc'd,
Bcc'd or from a mailing list can't find a home directly. I currently have
any such messages redirected to my own mailbox and have my mail client
filter and re-direct them accordingly.
This works OK up to a point but if I'm not in the office for whatever
reason, the "lost" mail doesn't get to it's rightful destination until I'm
back, which could be several days in the case of holidays.

I'm sure I could hack something together on one of our linux boxes... I
just don't know how, although I'm confident one of you will ;-)

BTW I know some of you might suggesting replacing our Windoze based proxy
server with a linux one, but for various reasons that's not really an
option at the moment.

Thanks for any help offered.

Steve
